Camping Vliegenbos

The northern part of Amsterdam is seen by some as not being worthy of a visit. The opposite is true, so do cross the IJ river during your visit. The last few years this part of town has seen some of the best restaurants of the city opening their doors here. Also, cultural hot spots are popping up everywhere here, like the EYE film museum and the Tolhuistuin. Why not even stay in North? For instance on camping Vliegenbos (campsite Vliegenbos).

Cabin or tent?

Vliegenbos is located right in the middle of a city forest that is a 15 minute walk away from the city center. Of course you can put up your own tent, but a more comfortable option might be renting one of the 30 cabins available on site. Vliegenbos also offers spots for mobile homes and they have one cabin that sleeps up to 12 people. The campsite’s shop offers everything from inflatable mats and tent pins to fresh croissants in the morning.

Young and old

Vliegenbos welcomes everyone that is 16 years or older (you have to be 18 or older to be able to rent a cabin). Of course families with small children are welcome as well. All facilities and the campsite itself are accessible for the disabled.
