Former Circus

The building of the Koninklijk Theater Carré in 1887 was commissioned by Oscar Carré, the circus master of Circus Carré. In the months the circus was on tour, other performances were showcased. That’s why the Christmas circus that still visits Carré every year is such a success: the building was originally a circus theatre!
