The former pathological anatomical laboratory of Amsterdam used to be a bit of a scary place. Not anymore. New Art Space Amsterdam (formerly known as SMART Project Space) has taken over the laboratory and turned it into a very inspiring cultural hotspot. NASA is a platform for visual art and contemporary culture where you can watch an art house movie, visit experimental art exhibitions and listen to live music. They also have 20 studios that are connected to an international program for artists who want to work abroad for a few months.

Restaurant LAB111
You can support SMART’s activities by eating at their restaurant LAB111, set up as a meeting place for the art world and the creative sector of Amsterdam. The special decor and original cuisine reflect this creative atmosphere. Above the tables hang artsy lamps that appear to have come straight from above an operating table and the wallpaper is almost psychedelic, creating an inspiring, but above all, cozy atmosphere.
