Camping Winkeloord

Just outside of Amsterdam you’ll find recreation area the Vinkeveense Plassen. In this lake you can sail, swim, dive, surf and what not. Camping Winkeloord is situated right next to the small harbor of Winkeloord. So for those who like to be active in and on the water, this campsite might be a very good choice to stay.

Boats or bikes

Hire a kayak and explore the area peddling. There are different routes set out for you, so you won’t miss anything that is worth seeing. Rent a boat (both motorized and sailing boats are available for rent in the harbor) and you can even sail straight to Amsterdam on the Amstel river! If you are not too keen on being on the water yourself, but you do like the calming effect of it, you can also do some sightseeing on a bike. There are beautiful biking routes set out in the area around Camping Winkeloord.
