Always wanted to know how wealthy people lived in the 19th century? You can go back in time in the House of Abraham Willet Holthuysen. These art collectors left their Patrician house with precious possessions in 1895 to the municipality of Amsterdam. A richly decorated Ballroom, a beautiful garden and rooms full of paintings, furniture and statues sketch the luxurious life they lived. In the kitchen and the rest of the basement you will come to know more about the lifestyle of the servants.
