NEMO Science Center

‘Forbidden NOT to touch!’´ that’s the motto of NEMO. In the largest science center of the Netherlands you can become a real scientist or technologist and perform your owns tests and experiments. And as Signage is in English and Dutch, it’s perfect for international visitors as well. Ideal for children, but adults can also have a lot of fun here and learn something about science and technology at the same time. Experiment in a laboratory, travel through a DNA cell or stunt with gravity.

Amazing views of Amsterdam

Even without an entrance ticket you can get on the roof terrace and enjoy the marvelous view of Amsterdam. Your kids can entertain themselves on sunny days splashing in the Water miracle. In this educative water playground they can rearrange waterways by turning taps and showers on and off, or just muck about in the water.

Useful information

In this kid-friendly museum you can easily find your way with a buggy, there is a room where you can change your baby’s diaper and you can use the elevator. There are wheelchairs available for disabled people and special toilets are located on each floor. Visually impaired may consult with the staff of NEMO which components are best accessible and the most interesting.

Nemo does not have its own car park, the nearest parking garage is the Oosterdok parking garage. This is situated at two minutes walking distance from NEMO, near the public library of Amsterdam. Visitors of NEMO get a 30% discount on the parking costs. Take your parking ticket with you to NEMO and get a stamp at the checkout.

You can store your personal property in a safety deposit box. This costs € 0,5 each time.

Consuming refreshments you bring along is permitted, provided you do this in the designated areas.
