Where the ships used to bring in the beer from Germany in the fourteenth century, you now find Brewery Prael (Brouwerij De Prael in Dutch) . Here they brew special beers made from hop grown in their own back yard. The beers are named after famous singers from Amsterdam. You want to taste a Johnny, Willeke or André right away? You can, in the adjacent bodega looking out over the brewery itself.
