Artis Zoo, Holland’s oldest zoo, has something to offer for everyone. Flee the cold in the tropical garden full of colourful butterflies. Or maybe you rather watch one of the movies in the Planetarium on Darwin’s travels or the oceans? And don’t forget the exhibitions in the Zoological museum that teach you all about the history of our planet’s flora and fauna.

Oasis of tranquility
A visit to the aquarium is a perfect way to escape the hectic city life and become totally zen again. And of course there are the animals: Artis Zoo houses over 900 species! In June, July and August visit the special Zoomeravonden when the zoo is opened until dusk.
Parking
Artis has its own parking lot, only 150 meters from the Artis zoo entrance. Parking during visiting hours, including evening opening hours, costs € 7. After opening hours (18.30 – 08.30) parking costs € 4 per hour.
